GUYRA REST STOP

Public BBQ

Tucked along the New England Highway in Guyra, this roadside stop proves that sometimes the best barbecues are the unassuming ones. The undercover picnic tables provide blessed relief from whatever the NSW highlands decide to throw at you weather-wise, while the play area keeps the littlest travellers entertained long enough for adults to actually finish a meal in peace. The facilities are refreshingly close at hand - no epic trek required when nature calls - and there's decent parking that doesn't require a degree in spatial mathematics to navigate. It's the sort of practical, no-nonsense spot that serves its purpose admirably: fire up the barbie, feed the family, stretch the legs, and get back on the road feeling considerably more human than when you arrived.
